Should I be concerned?

February 20, 2007

One of my instructors in school, she has her Masters and is really nice and smart, says “Warsh” instead of “wash”. That is common in the accent local to my area, but sheesh….if she doesn’t know there is no R in wash…whatelse could there be, hon?

    Be afraid, be very afraid.

Hmmmmm… I wonder what you must think of me. I have my masters and I speak like I never left junior high school. I use like about every other word. It’s just a bad habit I guess – but one that I sort of like now.

Yeah, that drives me nuts. It sounds SO uneducated. Of course, I say “eggs-it” instead of “eXit”, so I’m not much better.
