Can someone explain to me WHY the government insists we file a return…normal people who are not a business? I mean, if you have extra stuff that you may not pay tax on, file a worksheet for that but if you are employed and an employer takes out tax…why do we report? It seems like a lot of paper work for not much gain on the part of the person. On NPR this morning they are talking about taxes and that the tax law may need to be changed since only "1 in 5" people just use a pencil and calculator to do their taxes" and more and more are using professional services.
Why does the government want so much control? Why do we let them? Why can't everyone just not file? I am not saying don't pay income tax, just don't file. fuck them and their bullshit paper work.
Maybe Penn and Teller will do a show on taxes and the IRS? Almost as good as their blowout on the Boys Scouts (one of the scariest orgs in the world…now the mormons have overtaken it according to P & T).
Where is out Boston Tea Party? People…lets just not file next year. Everybody in the country. Really, they can't send us all to jail?
